Learn to sail!

Yearly PSC tradition

Sailing Camp is a long-time tradition at PSC and we usually have amazing weather and a great crowd.

New sailors learn about sail trim; managing the boat in winds light, hard or just contrary; righting the boat; as well as the mysteries of gybing and getting out of “irons”.

Water safety is key to fun, so instruction on rules of the road and boating safely are part of every lesson.  On-the-water activities include sailing backwards, classic “man overboard” drills, capture the rubber duckies, water fights and lots of just plain sailing.

How Do I Reserve My Spot?

To reserve spots at our sailing camps (space is very limited)  you will also need to purchase your spots via the Event Registration button below. Then complete your purchase in the shopping cart. Once your purchase is complete, you will receive an e-mail with your enrollment form and welcome letter. You are not enrolled until you complete the forms!

What makes it all possible?

  • All the students who showed up to learn the art of sailing.
  • All the sailors from PSC who take time off from work and family to give back to the community.
  • And, as always, the Ohio Division of Watercraft for providing their Laser Fleet so we can introduce people of all ages to the joys of sailing!

At PSC’s Sailing Camp…

Kids and adults of all ages and experience levels develop and hone their sailing skills in a safe and fun-filled environment.

With experienced sailors as teachers and one-on-one, hands-on instruction, new sailors quickly learn the skills they need to become proficient. Each year, we provide instruction on Lasers, Sunfish and other small sailboats. We encourage anyone who is interested to come out for a great long weekend of sailing. Contact us to let us know if you have any questions.

Bring your family – all ages and abilities welcome!
